Talking to Kids about bodies, reproduction & sex – workshop & discussion
Upcoming Class: March 2025 (on zoom)
$25 per family
In this virtual workshop & discussion, Marina & Chatequa, drawing on their backgrounds in early education, will present information & resources on talking to young kids, up to age 8, about bodies, reproduction & sex. The workshop will be interactive with plenty of opportunities for group discussion and to ask questions. Content and discussion will also be inclusive of all bodies & families and offer approaches that incorporate a queer lens. We welcome parents of babies or future parents, as well as parents of toddlers and young kids, who want to think ahead to these important and exciting conversations! Visit the Brooklyn Birth Collective website or marina.guides123@gmail.com to sign up.
Chatequa and Marina shared a positive and expansive approach to talking with children about bodies and sex – topics that we are so eager to “get right” even though we don’t always have the answers ourselves. I feel more confident approaching this with my own children now. I appreciated their warm and thoughtful discussion facilitation, as it was helpful to discuss with fellow parents. I definitely recommend the workshop 🙂

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Marina. She has truly helped us learn how to be parents in the early months of our baby’s life. She is kind, supportive, nonjudgmental, fun, and clearly loves and respects children. She offers both practical tips and emotional support, drawing from her vast knowledge as a parent, educator, and doula, and all her advice feels specific to our particular child. Every time I speak with her, I feel stronger and more capable. I’m incredibly grateful to have her as part of our family’s life. ”
